full-time career opportunity for a Certified Cancer Registrar
to join our team. This individual will be part of our multi-disciplinary
cancer care team where CTR's are valued for their expertise. The
ideal candidate must have a minimum of three years of consistent
experience in an ACoS approved cancer program with excellent skills
in cancer registry program management, ACoS/CoC Cancer Program
standards, and database management experience. Excellent customer
service and communication skills are a must.
You
must be a Certified Tumor Registrar and possess an Associate's
degree with college level courses in medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
A minimum of 3 years of Cancer Registry experience preferred.

Duties:

Perform
and document audits of registry data

inconsistencies and date discrepancies to the COC

NCDB edits according to NCDB guidelines

Is seeking a
Oncology Data Coordinator
M-F Days, 80hrs/PP
Responsibilities
include performing and coordinating all aspects of the cancer
registry and providing administrative support to the Cancer Program.
Specific duties involve identifying appropriate cases for inclusion
in the registry; abstracting and coding of all data; responding
to requests for data: coordinating production of the budget, annual
report and preparation for Commission on Cancer/American College
of Surgeon Survey; and providing administrative support for the
Cancer Conferences and Cancer Committee as well. The job requires
strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize work,
and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requirements
include Certification in Tumor Registry; preferred experience
in an oncology related field; or able to meet the pre-testing
requirements for CTR certification within one year of entering
the position (under the supervision of a CTR); Have experience
coordinating/administering programs with physicians and a variety
of members of the health team. The position will require regular
Monday through Friday daytime hours with an option to telecommute
when in hospitals hours are not required.
